Where are we?
we are located in South Cumbria close to the
stunning Duddon Valley.
We have members in the group from Waberthwaite down to Askam. Our objectives: • Increase personal knowledge • Share information and knowledge • Share resources to reduce costs • be able to sell honey locally The first colony was purchased and installed at the end of June after the Website editor posted a request for soem space for an Out-Apiary ( not on their own land). Amazing responses from the facebook request and the group was starting to come together. With the main focus being learning and having lots of hands-on sessions with FBKA. This small colony consisted of a healthy 2021 queen with a good full 5 brood frames full of brood (bee eggs and larvae).
